Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Malta
- On arrival in Malta, our local representative will meet you and accompany the group to the hotel in Mellieha or St Paul’s Bay.
Day 2 Free time
- You’ll have a full free day to explore your surroundings and relax at the hotel. The local representative will be pleased to offer options for sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment in the area.
Day 3 Valletta
- Begin your day with a welcome meeting and refreshing drink as your guide outlines the days ahead. Then set off with your local guide to explore the highlights of Valletta. The half‑day tour starts at the Upper Barrakka Gardens with stunning views of the Grand Harbour, followed by a visit to St John’s Co‑Cathedral to see its marble floor, Flemish tapestries, and Caravaggio masterpieces. Enjoy a brief stop to sample Malta’s famous Kinnie and a traditional pastizzi. Continue past the Grand Masters’ Palace and through St George’s Square before visiting the Malta Experience for the immersive Malta 5D show. After the tour, enjoy free time for lunch (not included) and an afternoon to explore or shop at your leisure.
Day 4 Gozo
- Set out on a full‑day guided tour of the island of Gozo. A short ferry ride takes you to the charming Mgarr harbour with its colourful boats anchored in its blue waters. The tour continues to the Megalithic temples of Ggantija, the world’s oldest free‑standing monuments. Then explore Gozo’s medieval capital, Victoria, before visiting the picturesque Xlendi Bay and the unique inland sea at Dwejra. Lunch is included at a local restaurant, followed by free time to browse for traditional crafts - such as handmade lace and knitted goods - or simply relax at a café and enjoy Gozo’s tranquil atmosphere. Later in the afternoon, we return to our hotel, with the evening free at your leisure.
Day 5 Free time
- Today you can indulge in a lazy day and a stroll by the sea, or perhaps consider some additional sightseeing, which can be arranged through your local representative.
Day 6 Mdina
- Depart for a full‑day excursion to the historic fortified city of Mdina. Pause in Mosta, on the way, to admire its remarkable church, home to one of Europe’s largest and most impressive domes. Then continue to the Dingli Cliffs to enjoy sweeping panoramic views, before visiting the early Christian catacombs of St Paul in Rabat to explore their extensive network of underground galleries and tombs. Lunch is included today at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you arrive in Mdina, located in the heart of Malta. Known as the “Silent City” for its massive medieval walls and tranquil, shaded streets, it offers a wealth of atmosphere and architectural charm. Here, you’ll have free time to wander the narrow lanes and peaceful gardens at your own pace. After a fascinating day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 7 The Three Cities & Sliema
- Head to the Grand Harbour area for your first views of Vittoriosa, Cospicua, and Senglea - collectively known as the Three Cities. On a walking tour of Vittoriosa, your expert guide will lead you through its narrow, beautifully preserved streets, past Fort St Angelo, and along the historic waterfront. Next, you experience a traditional harbour cruise aboard a ‘Dghajsa’. Keep your camera at the ready to capture unforgettable views as you glide through the colourful creeks of the harbour. Following the boat tour there is a visit Senglea Garden at the tip of the peninsula, offering picturesque, unmissable views over the Grand Harbour. In the afternoon, enjoy free time in the lively seaside town of Sliema to explore its promenade, cafés, and shops before the transfer back to your hotel.
Depart Malta
- Today, you’ll be transferred to the airport, with assistance from your guide, for your return flight home.
