Malcesine is a small town on the east shore of Lake Garda, in the region of Veneto. It is a picturesque tourist resort at the base of the mountains. This town boasts a picture-perfect port, cobbled streets, famous castle’s, palaces and a spotless beach.
When visiting Malcesine, why not take a trip up the beautiful mountains of lake garda by cable car. This brings visitors up to Monte Baldo, which stands at 1760m, and is a hotspot for snow sport activities during the winter. While holidaying at Malcesine, make sure to visit the town’s most famous tourist attraction, the stunning 18th century castle, ‘Castello Scagliero’.

There are many bars which become livelier during the summer season in Malcesine. If you’d like to dance the night away in a nightclub, we recommend visiting nearby Bardolino, the centre of nightlife in Lake Garda.
There are many restaurant’s in Malcesine serving authentic Italian Pizza, pasta and seafood dishes. There are also plenty of family friendly restaurants that cater to even the fussiest of eaters.
Families with children will love the Alpaca farm on Monte Baldo. Children can learn all about these beautiful animals and for a small fee they can even embark on a mini hike with the alpacas and a tour guide.
There are several small pebble beaches in Malcesine where visitors can sunbathe, or swim in the lake’s waters.

There is an annual medieval festival held in Malcesine in late July. During this festival you will find a medieval trader’s market, various medieval games, events and musical performances taking place in the town.
The summer season is the best time to visit Malcesine. The temperatures average in the high twenties and there are plenty of festival’s and event’s taking place in the town and the surrounding areas during these months.
