Why Visit Sirmione?

Sirmione is a town in the Lombardy Region of Northern Italy. It is situated on the southern bank of Lake Garda and is known for its beauty. The town is full of history, with the first settlements in the area dating back as far as the 3rd millennia BC.

One of the biggest attractions in Sirmione is Castello Scagliero. This castle was built in the 13th century and is still in great condition today. Some of the oldest ruins in the town are the Grotte di Catullo, a Roman villa which was built in 1st century B.C. Here you can tour the ruins and visit the museum to learn about the Villa and the family who once lived there.
