Network support helpdesk engineer

As a Helpdesk Network Support Engineer at Club Travel Ltd, you will perform first level network support for all our staff. We have a mix of staff both working on premises and remotely. The ideal candidate will have either a graduate-level qualification or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

The position is based in our Dublin City centre office and is a full-time role based in the Club Travel offices and would suit a college graduate or a candidate at the beginning of their career in the area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to support tickets to provide first level support for network-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out daily checks and monitoring alert systems.
  • Manage and administer Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, O365 Administration, Sharepoint and MS Azure services.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain network security measures.
  • Utilise JIRA Service Desk for incident tracking and resolution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to understand and address their technical concerns.
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in network support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, O365 Administration, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with JIRA Service Desk or similar ticketing systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Skills

  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
  • Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, O365 Administration, Azure.
  • Helpdesk Tools: JIRA Service Desk or similar.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English is a must.

Candidates must be eligible to work full time in Ireland (9.00am to 5.30pm) Monday – Friday and in the case of visa holders, the visa must be valid for at least 24 months.
