Welcome to Neapolitan Riviera

Neapolitan Riviera

Located in the south of Italy, the Neapolitan Riviera looks out across the Bay of Naples. In the distance, the rugged slopes of Mount Vesuvius make for an exquisite backdrop. And along the coast, golden cliffs rise from the sea, hills scattered with lemon trees, and sparks of bougainvillea paint the landscape like an Impressionist’s palette.

Things to do

Pompeii & Vesuvius Wondering through some of the ancient streets of Pompeii, you can see Baths, Forums and Villas built by the prosperous Romans in the year 80 B.C. A coach will take you to within 1,000 metres from the top of Mount Vesuvious, and from there you can opt to walk to the very top with a specialist guide and admire the splendid panoramic views across the bay.

Naples The centre of Naples itself is designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO; 2,500 years of history are told through the palaces, churches, monuments, galleries, monasteries, indeed four castles tower over the city itself. The Cathedral is home to the famous Cappella del Tesorodi San Gennaro and masterpieces and treasures, frescoes and other valued artwork.

Amalfi Amalfi is dramatically built into the cliff face with wonderful steep winding streets and an amazing sprawling Cathedral (Piazza Duomo). Equally steeped in history and a great location for superb shopping opportunities is the popular resort of Sorrento. If you fancy visiting Pollio Felice’s Villa, the marine Park, Punta Campanella or a stroll round the medieval town centre of Sorrento, one visit will just not be enough.
