Parts of SoCal will still see some hot temperatures Friday, but other areas will start seeing pleasant conditions. L.A. and Orange counties will experience morning fog that will leave a haze the rest of the day and keep temps in the upper 70s. The valleys and the Inland Empire will continue to be hot and sunny with highs in the low 90s. There will be fog and clouds in the morning at the beaches and then have a partly sunny afternoon with temps hovering in the low 70s. Thanks to #abc7eyewitness @jaredbrownbb for this beautiful Griffith Park view! For some impressive views of LA, as well as views of the Hollywood sign, head up to Griffith Observatory. For any science lovers, step inside the observatory to find lots of free exhibitions and a planetarium in which they have cheap shows on offer. If you feel you need a break from the busy city and want to spend some time outdoors then Griffith Park has trails for hiking and biking and is also home to the Hollywood sign along with the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

Take a stroll along the Hollywood Walk of Fame where you’ll see names of stars in gold lettering in a pink star on the path and at the Chinese Theatre you’ll see the handprints and signatures of some of the most notable stars. Watch a movie or take a tour of the Chinese Theatre which should be booked in advance where you can see the amazing art deco interior and often the real costumes from movies are on display.

Rodeo Drive is home to an array of high-end designer shops and small boutiques. Window shopping might be all you can afford to do along here but it is nice to have a browse and admire the expensive cars parked along the road. For a more affordable shopping trip head to The Grove which is an open-air shopping mall with around 50 top-brand shops. Opposite it is the Original Farmers Market which opened in 1934 which is worth a visit to grab a snack and take a walk around.

Located in the Santa Monica mountains, The Getty Center is packed full of impressive works from the likes of Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh. In addition to the art, the museum has beautiful gardens from which you can admire the view of LA, and it also offers various free shows. The building itself is quite impressive as it is a circular concrete and steel structure that was designed by Richard Meier, a renowned architect.
