Seans Trip To Corfu

 

In September 2019 I travelled to Corfu for 6 nights where I stayed in the Apollon Hotel. I travelled from Warsaw to Corfu with Polish LOT however there are direct flights and charter flights available (when booked as part of a package during summer months).

Location

I stayed in the Apollon Hotel which is located on the main beach of Paleokastritsa. The transfer time from Corfu to Paleokatritsa is approximately 1 hour. The hotel is relatively small and basic however a nice touch is that it is family run. It is 40 metres from the waters edge and all rooms feature a sea view, so staying here was really nice.

What I Loved

The hotel offers a half board option meaning you could nearly remain there for the duration of your stay. I loved the fact that they offer a sea view and mountain scenery which is lovely to sit and watch while having a cup of coffee in the morning, or the sunset with a cocktail in the evening! The cruise to Paxos and Anti Paxos is also a fantastic day out which I would recommend to visitors.

Activities & Places to See

  • See Corfu Old Town.
  • Spend the day soaking in the sun on one of Corfu's many beautiful beaches.
  • Visit the donkeys at Corfu Donkey Rescue.
  • Take a cruise to Paxos and Anti Paxos.

Food and Bars

There are plenty of fruit stands and restaurants on the beach front which open during the day and there are several restaurants and bars on site at the hotel and nearby such as the Appollon Hotel restaurant and the corner bar. 

Beaches

There are plenty of beach activities that can be done during the day. We rented a pedaloe and sailed to another island.
