Andrew's trip to kusadasi
by andrew buckley
In September I visited Kusadasi in Turkey. Kusadasi is a major cruise ship port in the Turkish Mediterranean, known for its affordable shopping and entertainment activities. I flew with Sun Express, who are a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines from Dublin to Izmir airport. The flying time is approximately 4 ½ hours and from the airport, it is 45 minutes to the tourist resort of Kusadasi.
Kusadasi is located on the west coast of Turkey. It's a great holiday spot because of its hot weather, fantastic beaches and turquoise waters.
What I Loved
I loved the Turkish Cuisine, with dishes such as their famous Kebabs and Baklava on offer, aswell as the Turkish Delight too.
Activities & Places to See
- Ephesus is an ancient city that contains artifacts that date back to the Classical Greece era and the Roman Empire.
- Sirine is a small Greek town that is located close to Ephesus which is full of history.
- Pidgeon Island is located just off of Kusadasi,
In Kusadasi, there are shops lining every street that meets the eye. Turkey as a whole is known for its genuine fake clothing and a good bargain can always be found; however, they also have more upmarket shops around the Marina area that sell the real deal.
