1. LA SAGRADA FAMILIA

La Sagrada Familia is a must do for anyone visiting Barcelona. This unfinished cathedral by the famous Spanish architect Gaudi, whose works you can see all around Barcelona, is scheduled to be finished by 2026. Its design is breath taking and if you pay extra you can take a lift up to the top which is worth it to be able to get a view of the whole of the city.

For some more scenic views of the city you can head to Park Guell which is a public park that was a landscaping project that Gaudi took on. Originally Eusebi Güell intended it to be a garden city designed by Gaudi with public areas and a self-contained suburb for the wealthy but the idea never took off and so the Guell family gave the park to the city.

3. LAS RAMBLAS

Stroll along Barcelona’s most famous street, Las Ramblas, and soak up the atmosphere. While there, make sure you check out one of the best markets in the world and Barcelona’s largest food market called La Boqueria. You’ll find numerous fruit and vegetable stands, varieties of seafood, sausages, meats, cheeses and sweet treats here.

Take a 3 hour Segway tour of Barcelona to save time walking between some of its attractions. After having as many practice runs on the self-balancing machine as you feel you need, you’ll explore districts like Barceloneta, Olympic Port and the Gothic Quarter.

5. CAMP NOU EXPERIENCE

This is a must for football fans. Take a self-guided tour of the stadium where you’ll see a museum with multimedia exhibits, trophies, and various historical displays. The tour goes through the visiting team’s dressing room, through the tunnel to the edge of the pitch, to the TV studio, press room and commentary boxes.

Visit one of the strangest residential buildings in Europe that was designed by Gaudi. You’ll be surprised by the colourful tiled exterior of the building and the beauty of the interior. Tour this house starting from the Noble Floor where the Batllo family originally lived followed by the attic, roof terrace and stairwell, and then conclude the tour in the entrance hall and main staircase.
