Easter Holidays that are Sweeter than Chocolate

By Laura Burke

Easter is fast approaching, and for a lot of people it’s more than just chocolate eggs and bunnies, with the long weekend on the 17th and kids getting time off of school, it’s the ideal time to get away from your hectic lifestyle and escape to the sun! With many destinations beginning to warm up, yet resorts are quieter, and package deals are not as expensive as during the summer season, a week away in April could be the perfect getaway!  We have some details of fantastic couples and family holidays below!

1. Bed and Breakfast Couples Escape to Malta

Malta is a beautiful country, small but full of character, it’s the Mediterranean’s best kept secret. The rocky landscape is made up of stretches of coast which hide sheltered bays of clear water and golden beaches. A dream for snorkelers and divers, the caves, crags and wrecks of this island are incredibly beautiful. An Island of friendly people, Malta is home to an eclectic mix of cultures which has melted together over generations and this is most obvious in Malta’s recipes. Traditional Maltese food is a delicious mix of Middle Eastern and Sicilian flavours with ingredients like local honey and rabbit incorporated into classic dishes. Malta is a country of amazing history and fascinating prehistoric sites feature stunning cathedrals and palaces, the past of which can be found in any of the amazing museums and galleries which are dotted across the island. From boat trips to swimming in the sea, exploring caves or dining in a harbourside restaurant, see what Malta holds for you with a 7 night bed and breakfast stay in the Porto Azzuro hotel, St. Pauls Bay from the 23rd of April from €359.
