Why Visit Bodrum?

Bodrum, nicknamed the St. Tropez of Turkey, is renowned for its luxury hotels, beach clubs and super yachts. This city is found on the Bodrum Peninsula, which stretches from Turkey’s southwest coast into the Aegean Sea. Bodrum is a port city in the Muğla province of Turkey, located on the Gulf of Gökova. Since Bodrum is a port city, there are countless beaches to choose from whether you want to soak up the sun on golden sands, take part in water activities, or enjoy a picnic with the family overlooking Bodrum's green hills.

If the super yachts, luxury hotels, and beach clubs have not swayed you yet, the history in this city might! There are many tours you can experience like visiting the Bodrum Castle. This medieval fortress was crafted in part with stones from the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which was completed in the fourth century B.C. The city also serves as a hub for nearby beach towns and resorts.

If you get hungry, stop by the food court which features fast-food chains and kiosks serving both local and international cuisine. You can also pass the time by seeing the latest blockbusters at the cinema or letting your children run wild in the children's play area.

the bicycle festival

The Bodrum Nature Sports Club (BODOSK) organizes ‘The Bicycle Festival’, which takes place in May. Its slogan is "Hand in hand for an exhaust-free Bodrum, get on bicycles." Its goal is to spread awareness and influence people to not drive, but cycle instead. The festival draws large crowds because it includes other activities and displays such as live music performances, acrobats and dance shows.
