Traditional tavernas are very popular in Cyprus and are great locations to try the local foods on offer, but restaurants serving international cuisines such as Italian, Thai and Indian food have also grown in popularity over the past couple of years. Cyprus has lots of opportunities for a shopping trip while on your holiday. ‘My Mall’, a massive shopping mall with stores selling clothing, games, books, appliances, and food among other things, is a one-stop shop for whatever you could possibly need. ‘The Place’ allows visitors to watch the manufacture of traditional Cypriot crafts, such as pottery pieces. Traditional Cypriot food made on-site can also be bought here. Cyprus has many varied and diverse stores waiting to be explored.

Annual Walnut Festival

The Walnut Festival takes place every year in the town of Lefke. During this event, a range of activities and festivities take place including concerts, exhibitions and folk dancing. This festival will give visitors a unique opportunity to get an insight into Cypriot culture.

The best time to visit Cyprus is during the summer months, between May and June. During these months, temperatures can reach between 23 and 28 degrees, and the island sees an average of 13 hours of sunshine a day.
