The perfect time to visit this village is around the first two weeks August. Join the locals as they celebrate Expoluzia – a festival celebrating the fishing heritage of Santa Luzia. They also celebrate Festa dos Pescodores (Festival of the Fishermen) in the last few days of Expoluzia.

Santa Luzia is the octopus capital of the Algarve and the image related to the village is covos – octopus pots. Octopus is the village’s local specialty that should be tried at least once in one’s lifetime.
